To Check Out Library Material

1. Bring Your Library Card
2. Don't Have Unreturned or Overdue Material
3. Owe Fines of Less Than $3.00

Library Managers may limit the number of items on a particular subject that may be checked out, may shorten loan periods or place circulating items on reserve due to high demand.

Special collections of popular books and dvds have been purchased for the libraries in Aiken and North Augusta by their respective Friends groups. The rental fees charged for these items by the Friends are used to purchase additional material for this collection. These items are first come, first serve. They may not be reserved for any patron. There is a minimum charge of $1.00 to check out an item for four days. You may keep the item as long as you like for an additional charge of 25¢ per day. The additional fees are due when the item is returned

Books and kits can be renewed for one time period (provided they are not reserved).

Renewals may be requested in person, by telephone, or online.

Renewals can be requested at any ABBE library, not just the original check-out location.

There are no renewals for videos or reserved materials.

Renewals on specific items may be restricted due to heavy demand at the library manager's discretion.
