Receiving Calls from PhoneTree
 

Courtesy Calls
PhoneTree is a computer-activated calling service that notifies library patrons when their holds are ready. As part of ABBE's Materials Recovery Program, PhoneTree also calls patrons when their borrowed items are 7 days and 14 days overdue.

Problems Receiving Calls from PhoneTree
PhoneTree is a private line and its identity is not broadcast to Caller ID users. Patrons who block anonymous calls (i.e., Privacy Director service from AT&T) may have problems receiving PhoneTree calls. If you want to receive PhoneTree calls, you need to disable your Privacy Director® Service.

When Privacy Director® Service is placed on your telephone line, the service is automatically turned on. To turn the service off, or on again, dial your administrative options menu at 1-888-575-6677 from the telephone line subscribing to Privacy Director® Service and follow the voice prompt.

Other Options for Managing Your Due Dates and Holds

If turning off Privacy Director is not an option, you may do one of the following:

  1. Place an email address in your patron record to receive notices electronically. Please notify a library staff member if you would like to receive email notices instead of phone calls.
  2. Login to your iBistro account and check your account status manually. This will give all items checked out with due dates and a list of holds. The status of a hold waiting for you will say "AVAILABLE".
