- Nancy Bonnette Branch Library Hours Expand
Beginning August 12, the Nancy Bonnette Branch Library in Wagener will be adding 6 hours to its weekly operating schedule, giving library patrons a total of 28 hours each week to look for a good book, do homework research, and use computers. The library will now be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.,Tuesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
- Summer Reading Program Tote Bag Winners Announced
The fun of reading never ends, though the 2008 Summer Reading Program is over. One lucky patron at each library has won a tote bag to use throughout the year to carry their reading treasures from library to home and back again!
- ABBE Libraries Participate in SchoolRooms Pilot Project
ABBE libraries are working with the South Carolina State Library and others in a pilot program to launch SchoolRooms, a new K-12 multimedia research site for kids, parents and teachers throughout our state. Take a look and tell us what you think.
- Featured Free Database
Need help preparing for a new career? Search the Testing and Education Reference Center for information on scholarships, colleges, and other types of schools. The database includes GED practice tests and electronic versions of Peterson’s popular test preparation books, as well as a variety of other test preparation resources (e.g., SAT, PSAT, ACT, GRE, CLEP, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, TOEFL). It also provides many career certification practice tests (e.g., ASVAB, PRAXIS, NCLEX, Postal, Real Estate).
Access to the Testing and Education Reference Center can be found via the ABBE Databases and Websites link under either "Education" or "Colleges and Financial Aid." NOTE: For access outside the Library, enter your library card number as your user I.D. and your pin number as your password.
