LET’S TALK ABOUT IT SERIES Movie: All the King’s Men (PG-13)

ALL THE KING'S MEN by Robert Penn Warren

All the King’s Men is the last of three films to be presented between September and December 2025 as part of the discussion series, LET’S TALK ABOUT IT (LTAI) – Good Book/Bad Movie. It is based on the novel by Robert Penn Warren about the life of populist Southerner Willie Stark, a political creature loosely based on Governor Huey Long of Louisiana. Directed by Steven Zaillian in 2006, the film features actors Sean Pean, Jude Law, and Kate Winslet.

With discussions led by USC Aiken Humanities scholars, LTAI is more than your average book club. Participants will read, watch, and then compare the following three “good” novels to their respective “bad” film adaptations.
