Perfect for busy schedules, each story will be a complete, thought-provoking experience. We’ll read aloud and discuss short stories (15- 20 minutes each). Listen, read, or discuss – make it your own! Bond with neighbors, from high-schoolers and USC Aiken students to retirees, in an inclusive setting while discussing short stories.

The March stories are:

Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been by Joyce Carol Oates First published in Fall 1966 in Epoch magazine, this was inspired by a Bob Dylan song and by three Tucson, Arizona murders that were profiled in Life magazine.

Woman Hollering Creek by Sandra Cisneros  First published in Januyary 1869 in the magazine Overland Monthly, this is an example of naturalism and the local color of California during the first half of the nineteenth century.
