Nancy Carson Library Adult Summer Reading presents:
Songwriting Contest
When: July 11-July 12
Where: Nancy Carson Public Library in North Augusta
What: Adults 18 and older with a valid ABBE library card may submit one song for the contest. Complete rules and guidelines are available at the Nancy Carson Public Library in North Augusta. On July 31 at 7 p.m., the top finalists will perform their entries live at the library. Finalists will be notified on or before July 26.
Prize: The winner will receive free recording time at TheDigitalHalo Studio in Aiken and will have their song professionally recorded.
Rules:
- Participants must be 18 and older and hold a valid ABBE Regional Library System library card.
- Only one original song will be accepted from each participant.
- Songs will be judged solely on the quality of music and lyrics.
- Songs may be submitted on CD or through email to nancycarsonlibrary@gmail.com.
- Online entries must be submitted on MP3 format and must be no more than 3:30 in length.
- Each entry must be accompanied by a lyric sheet.
- A separate sheet should include name, address, phone number, email and length of song.
- The final live judging will be on Tuesday, July 31 at 7 p.m.
