Teen Ghost Story Contest

Start submitting your entries for the Teen Ghost Story Contest on Friday, Sept. 14! The deadline for entries is Friday, Oct. 12 at 6 pm. The contest is open to teens in grades 6-12. It must be 1,000 words or less; typed and double-spaced. You can bring entries to the library or email (PDF or .doc/x formats only, please) to

Entries must include Name, age, grade, school, and phone number or email address. Failure to follow these guidelines is an automatic disqualification.

Winners will be awarded Thursday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. during Terrifying Tales for Teens. Winners will receive gift certificates from $50 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd place, and $15 for 3rd place.

Writing skills packets will be available at the reference desk.
