ART OF WORDS: Poets’ Open Mic

Co-hosts CathyB and Big Bailey welcome featured performer Karlton T. Clay to the AOW stage!

Karlton T. Clay, poetically known as KayCee Thee Poet, was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. He graduated from Davidson Fine Arts in 2004 and Georgia State University in 2008. He has released two poetry books with EPs entitled “Ebbs and Flows” and “Raw-N-UnKut.” His third one, entitled “I Am Me,” will be released very soon.

Karlton began Victory Productions after his bout with leukemia, of which he is now a survivor of 22 years. Under Victory Productions, he has released 15 films and 15 series, with new films coming out this year and next year. However, he has decided to put the camera away and focus on his writing. He has an action-adventure book called “Titan Warriors: Alignment Of Power,” and a comic book series, “Chosen.”

Participants will need to sign up by 5:45 in order to be included in the open mic. This is a great opportunity for adults and young adults to practice performance skills in front of a small audience, receive feedback, and get inspiration for creating new performance pieces.
