Art of Words: Poets’ Open Mic

Adults and teens are invited to practice performing in front of a small, very welcoming, live audience!

Tamell “Big” Bailey and CathyB host this supportive gathering of poets from Aiken, Columbia, and the CSRA. One or more performers are featured each month, followed by open mic sessions. Participants who sign up by 5:45pm on the day of the show have the opportunity to speak for five minutes or more and may request (or decline) feedback from the audience.

Published poets are encouraged to provide brief bios, announce upcoming gigs, and may bring copies of their works to show or sell. .

Bring your own snacks, if desired, make yourself comfortable, relax and enjoy hearing from a variety of new and experienced writers!
